Case Study 1

Case Study: BHT / US Dept. of Defense

Client appraisal: '...parties at Bell Helicopter, the US Navy, the US Air Force, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense have been extremely impressed with the demonstrations of the CD-ROM I have created using the applet. In their words, "it is an example to be emulated", "a remarkable presentation", "...suggest it be reviewed by other services as a format for their report". That is largely in part to the flexibility and image swapping capability that your applet provided.' C.Sparks, Bell Helicopter Textron

Product: rather than providing a conventional and rather dry tree navigation for the complex documentation required for a piece of military hardware, BHT opted for a visually-driven menu interface. They needed photographic-quality diagrams of the hardware with interactive context-sensitive drop-down menus. In addition, they need parts of the image to change while the mouse moved - for example, for cut-aways, and hovering close-ups to appear next to highlighted areas. For this purpose, our iMMap Pro Imagemap Menu was an ideal solution.

Special notes: we worked closely with the client on this project, advising on how to achieve optimum results. We also adjusted the menu to meet additional client requirements.
