Features added in version 4.5 include:
- reads compressed ZIP indices (typically reduces indices by about 85% - 90% in size and greatly speeds up download and starting times)
- #2 read-algorithm for enhanced DBCS support, including a menuencoding parameter
- supports discontinuously numbered parameter indices to enable
easier dovetailing with indices drawn from database subsets
- tabsourcetype parameter for better handling of the
increased number of index source options (e.g. compressed, DBCS-friendly, parameter)
- HREF XIXL command - usefully different to LINK
- tabcontent parameter renamed tabsource
Features added in version 4.3 include:
- compressed versions of applet in CAB and JAR files
are now delivered as standard with the release version;
compressed versions are typically about 55% of the original
size
- optional background images
- optional additional icons for replacing internal plus/minus boxes next to nodes
- tabs can be completely removed if desired
